The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Albany, Clinton, Columbia, Dutchess, Essex, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Ulster, Warren and Washington counties until 8 p.m., tonight. Some storms could be severe, with large hail, damaging winds and heavy rain. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent today and 70 percent, tonight. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and a half inch possible.
