Protesters march in Kingston, Albany; Tuesday in Hudson
Jul 09, 2016 12:05 am
The Daily Freeman reports that Citizens Action and Black Lives Matter organized a vigil in Kingston July 7, after police in Louisiana and Minnesota were shown on video killing black residents of those states. The vigil was held at the intersection of Grand St. and Broadway, and then spontaneously became a march to the Kingston Police Department without incident. On July 8, the Upstate Black Lives Matter chapter hosted a similar peaceful protest in Albany at Dana Park. On July 12 at 6 p.m., there will be another rally on the issue, at the Columbia County Courthouse, 401 Union St. in Hudson. Read the full story in The Daily Freeman.
