Albany Airport tickets not cheap

[caption id="" align="alignright" width="200" caption="Albany International Airport"][/caption]Airfares at Albany International Airport rank high among the nation’s 100 largest markets, according to an Albany Business Journal story, which notes that Albany ranked No. 18 with an average domestic third-quarter fare of $384.15, up 14.24 percent from the third quarter of 2009, according to the most recent report from the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. Albany fares have risen 21.75 since 2000, when the average domestic third-quarter fare was $315.51. The average U.S. domestic itinerary fare for the third quarter of 2010 was $339.71, up 10.7 percent. Both the highest and lowest average third-quarter fares were in New Jersey: the highest was $469 in Newark-Liberty and the lowest was $153 in Atlantic City.
