First annual Hudson polar plunge to be held in February

The City of Hudson Fire Department and Youth Department have announced the first annual Hudson Polar Plunge will be held Sat., Feb. 24. Participants will take a cold plunge at 11 a.m. that morning into the icy waters of Oakdale Lake to raise funds for the Youth Department and for the Fire Department Water Rescue Team. Plunge supporters include the city of Hudson, Hudson Bed Races and Molinski Photography. Coarc formerly held its polar plunge at Upper Rhoda Pond in Copake and during its final year the event raised nearly $11,000, with more than 50 registered plungers.
