Media moments: Gillibrand on 'Daily Show'

Three brief media stories:
• New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand took questions from host John Oliver on "The Daily Show" Thu., Aug. 8, and took some tough questions about the lack of finance reform from Congress, and large donations to her campaign from Goldman Sachs, and other Wall Street firms. Watch the clip above for those questions, and the other clips below for other questions about reducing rape in the military, and other issues.
• Lady Gaga released a "shocking" new video this week, shot at Marina Abramović's Columbia County property near Malden, called "The Abramović Method Practiced by Lady Gaga." Gaga is nude in the video (embedded below the jump), and drone-sings. The pop star video seemed to add almost $100,000 to the performance artist's Kickstarter campaign to crowd-source part of the funding for the proposed Marina Abramović Institute in Hudson. As of Friday afternoon, she has raised $261,021 of her $600,000 goal, with 15 days to go.
• Dave Lucas from WAMC did a story ("When Radio Things Go Wrong") last week about the current financial collapse of WBAI (99.5-FM, NYC), and, with no one from WBAI returning his calls, got Lynn Sloneker, WGXC Station Manager, on the phone. Listen to the story here.
