Cuomo announces funding to support water quality projects

Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo announced November 19, funding to support agricultural water quality conservation projects across New York. The $16.2 million awarded through the Agricultural Nonpoint Source Abatement and Control program will be used to address water quality challenges in priority watersheds and to protect the environment. In the Capital Region, a combined $986,000 was awarded to the Washington County Soil and Water Conservation District to work with one farm in the Lake Champlain and Hudson River watersheds. In the Mid-Hudson Region, more than $450,000 was awarded to the Dutchess County Soil and Water Conservation District to work with one farm in the Hudson River Watershed.
