State gas prices decrease as national average rises

The Daily Freeman is reporting average retail gasoline prices in New York fell 1.3 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $1.93 per gallon, Sun., Feb. 28. This compares with the national average, which increased to $1.74 per gallon, according to gasoline price website Gas Buddy [dot] com. Prices on Sunday were 60.5 cents per gallon lower than the same day one year ago and are 13.4 cents per gallon lower than a month ago. Read the full story in the Daily Freeman.
