Oct 06, 2020 6:30 am
Bryan LoRusso posted on Facebook this weekend about Ola Hawatmah's stealth campaign as a write-in candidate for the 19th Congressional District seat now held by Democrat Antonio Delgado. Hawatmah lost the Republican primary election to Kyle Van DeWater by 2,200 votes, and was also Twitter account does not indicate she is seeking write-in votes in the election between Delgado and Van DeWater, but local television station WYBN TV 14 endorsed her recently as a write-in candidate in the 19th Congressional District. On Facebook she has a pinned Tweet with a sample ballot that says, "You’re already going to have the pen in your hand!" About the tractor pull event on Oct. 4, she writes she was there, "Not for campaign reasons as I have not campaigned even though supporters continue to. Not for photo ops, but because the local farmers and citizens in the county invited and counted on me being there."
