The Times Union is reporting East Greenbush attorney Linda Blom Johnson announced April 15, her intention to run for State Supreme Court justice in the Third Judicial District. A Republican, Blom Johnson is the managing partner at Hinman Howard and Kattell, where she has worked for more than 15 years. She also serves as the Rensselaer County special appellate counsel, as well as an appellate court attorney for the Supreme Court Appellate Division — Third Department. Blom Johnson graduated from Albany Law School, Siena College and the East Greenbush Central School District. She currently resides with her family in West Sand Lake. The Third Judicial District encompasses Albany, Rensselaer, Ulster, Columbia, Schoharie, Sullivan and Greene counties. Three judicial seats will appear on the November ballot.
