Jammel Cutler reports in Columbia-Greene Media that Republicans in Columbia County have formed the Republican Women of Columbia County group. President of the group Jody Nesbitt said, “We thought it was the best time to launch during Women’s History Month. All the women who have come before us have given us the ability to have groups like this. This is one way to honor them.” Nesbitt also said, “There is a need for a safe place for Republican women to express their ideas, beliefs, thoughts and values.
