Interfaith Winter Blessings: One Habitat, Many Traditions — a community celebration hosted by Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newburgh at The Newburgh Brewing Company!

Together with local faith communities, we’ll honor the beautiful holidays celebrated in December — from Hanukkah and Christmas to Kwanzaa, Bodhi Day, and more.

In the spirit of giving, we will also be providing over 100 fully packed bags of food for local families, along with a wide selection of winter coats for women, men, and children, toys for kids of all ages, and additional essential items. Everything will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

This evening will highlight the richness of each tradition while fostering unity, compassion, and shared joy. This event serves as a bridge between traditions and a space for connection, storytelling, and service. It also reflects our Team Up! model, bringing people from different backgrounds together to strengthen our neighborhoods through shared experiences and collective action.

A clothing swap with guest artists, Ariele Max and Sarah LaPeter! Guests are invited to bring clean clothing you don’t want. Take clothing you do want. Everything that is left behind will be distributed to local donation centers, thrift stores and free stores (check Cherry’s World Instagram stories to see where everything ends up).

As usual, there will also be plenty of time to work on the sewing, t-shirt weaving, mending, or crafting projects of your choice. The LikeMindedObjects team will be on hand with supplies and tools to help develop your skills. Open to all ages and skill levels!

The 3rd Annual Rhinebeck Winter Craft Fair & Market is back on Saturday, December 13th from 10am-3pm at Rhinebeck High School. Featuring over 50 unique vendors and artisans from the Hudson Valley. Delicious treats and abundant raffles.

Delaware Valley Action is a non-profit organization {501(c)(4)}, now serving the tri-state Upper Delaware River Region. DVA is holding a Holiday Dance for Democracy with dancing, dinner and drinks at the just-opened RH Smith Mercantile converted industrial event space in downtown Port Jervis. With music by the wonderful Marc Von Em Trio, this evening promises to raise funds for actions to support our democracy and voter programs, and provide a great, fun evening for all who would Dance for Democracy!
