Coming on the heels of their first international tour, Lusterlit brings their evening of songs about books to HiLo Catskill. Lusterlit produces The Bushwick Book Club in Brooklyn, a rotating group of songwriters and performers of all kinds putting on regular shows featuring new music, art and snacks inspired by a chosen work of literature. Susan Hwang founded it in 2009 and Charlie Nieland has been a participant since 2013. They formed Lusterlit to present the songs they've written for BBC in performance and as fully produced recordings, alternating lead vocals and harmonies while supporting each other on guitar, bass, piano, synth, traditional Korean drum, accordion and more. An evening of performances by Half Waif, Christopher Tignor, and Emily Ritz. This is a ticketed event, and will be held in the space next door to HiLo (formerly the Catskill Mill). The music will be amplified through their house-made sound system.
Half Waif:
Nandi Rose Plunkett writes, records and performs under the name Half Waif. Her music includes blinking electronic soundscapes, echoes of Celtic melodies, and the elegiac chord changes of 19th-century art music.
http://www.half-waif.com/
Christopher Tignor:
Christopher Tignor is a composer, violinist, lecturer, and software engineer. He has released eight LPs on the Western Vinyl and New Albion record labels.
http://www.wiresundertension.com/
Emily Ritz:
Emily Ritz is a musician and visual artist who creates otherworldly soul music. A native New Yorker, Ritz spent nearly a decade in the Bay Area making art and performing/releasing music with bands Yesway, Honeycomb, and DRMS. Though her music and art remain very much inspired by the lush landscapes of Northern California, Ritz moved back East to Hudson, NY in 2016. There, she began performing under her own name for the first time and recorded her first solo album Pattern Recess.

WGXC's Pull Over Pledge Drive, will run October 10-23, 2018. Through the Pull Over Pledge Drive, we seek to welcome 250 monthly sustaining donors to WGXC. Growing a community of sustaining supporters is vital to the station’s longevity.
We know many of you listen in your cars or at work, and that WGXC is a companion to your busy lives. During this pledge drive, we are asking you to stop for a moment, to pull over from whatever it is you’re doing, and donate your support to WGXC. And, if listening to WGXC would be new to you, we ask you to tune in either at 90.7 on your FM dial or online at wgxc.org/listen, or the Wave Farm Radio app, or the TuneIn app. We promise you will be entertained and informed. You’ll hear your neighbors. You’ll also encounter new sounds and new voices!
To make a recurring donation, or to make a one-time gift, visit: wgxc.org/donate or call 518-697-7400 and pledge your support of Hands-on Creative Community Radio.
