Wave Farm
Over the past few weeks Wave Farm Radio: WGXC 90.7-FM Radio for Open Ears has been busier than ever. Radio is a collective space where we can continue to share and congregate. In the WGXC Newsroom and airing frequently on 90.7-FM and wgxc.org/listen you'll find a daily Catskills and Hudson Valley Coronavirus report from Lissa Harris of The River and Roger Hannigan Gilson of The Other Hudson Valley, read by WGXC's Tom Roe.

This month we are really pleased to give voice to two major festivals that typically take place in April. Tune into WGXC on Saturday April 4, at 8 p.m. for a durational broadcast created by Bob Bellerue, that celebrates the artists originally scheduled for the 2020 edition of Ende Tymes XI: A Festival of Noise and Liberation. Then later this month, on April 25, tune in for a rebroadcast of Basilica Hudson's inaugural 24-HOUR DRONE event organized by Sarah Van Buren. Other interesting and recommended listening includes radio aporee's Sounds of the Pandemic and the uplifting project Unity-Gain organized by Mendi + Keith Obadike.

With all our studios closed, we've amped up efforts to get programmers on-air from home studios, and are so moved and encouraged by the energy and enthusiasm here, that we are sharing a glimpse into the wonderful and dedicated programmers that are keeping your radio sounds humming. This is what creative community looks like!

Your charitable contributions make a world of difference, now more than ever!

Wave Farm remains tirelessly committed to making the airwaves a participatory medium. A pioneer of the Transmission Arts genre, Wave Farm programs provide access to transmission technologies and support artists and organizations that engage with media as an art form.

These activities are made possible, in part, from state and federal art grants, foundation support, earned income derived from studio rentals and special curatorial/consulting engagements, and from private, tax-deductible, support from individuals like you.

Listeners, attendees, and collaborators support provides a critical piece to keeping Wave Farm programs afloat, and we are grateful to the many individuals who have shown their generosity past, present, and future.
