Tonight's theme: "tribute to our city"
Live set from Pinataland. Musical tribute to the Delta region.
Hello Friends,
Tonight, Thursday September 1st, we have an excellent RADIO PROGRAM for you from WCRM, the Citizens' Radio Music Show!
Tune in at 10:00 PM at http://www.free103point9.org for this audio "Tribute to Our City"
Our live, in-house band will be PINATALAND. This Brooklyn born band, founded by Doug Stone and David Wechsler, finds inspiration in old Edison wax cylinder recordings and in the history of our great city, New York! Well talk with Doug about living in, and making music about, the greatest city in the world.
We will also hear from CR Resident Collector Harley Spiller, as well as a great trivia game of New York City facts as prepared by Paul Lucas.
Although September is "Tribute to Our City" month at the Reliquary, the WCRM show will begin with a musical tribute to "their" city, New Orleans. Reliquary President, Dave Herman has prepared a spectacular selection of Dixieland Jazz, Ragtime, Zydeco, and Brass Band music to pay homage to the great people and history of the Delta region that has been so devastated by the hurricane. We hope our small tribute will be an uplifting inspiration for those effected and to anyone who can help make a difference in the aftermath.
As always, Mindy Abovitz will be your host with a wide array of musical entertainment to fit this months theme, the "September Tribute to Our City."
We hope you enjoy!
