Two pop cutlure icons died on April 8, 2013. The former Prime Minister of England inspired more hateful British pop then any other leader before or since. Funicello, first in "The Mickey Mouse Club" and then in a series of beach films and pop songs, was at the other end of the pop culture spectrum. Tune in the contrast. With songs from Elvis Costello ("Shipbuilding," "Tramp the Dirt Down") The Smiths (too many to mention), and others. There are several songs about waiting for or celebrating her death, besides the aforementioned Costello song, there's Morrisey's "Margaret On The Guiillotine," Hefner's "The Day That Thatcher Dies," The Blow Monkey's "Celebrate (The Day After You)," and Kitchens of Distinction's "Margaret's Injection." The Funicello songs, such as "The Monkey's Uncle" and "The Scrambled Egghead" are markedly different.
