The Moon takes a highly individual approach to experimental music, playing improvised music that is influenced in equal parts by contemporary classical composition, jazz, noise and psych-rock. The results are visceral, unpredictable and virtuosic. The Moon is a duo of guitarist Adam Caine and drummer Federico Ughi. Both are established in the New York City jazz and improvised music scene, playing with musicians such as William Parker, Connie Crothers, Daniel Carter, Glenn Branca, Darius Jones and Paul Smoker. Both have appeared on numerous albums as leaders and sidemen. The Adam Caine Trio’s “Thousandfold” was released in 2009 by Lithuania’s NoBusiness records, and Federico Ughi’s “Songs for Four Cities” was released in 2012 on Sweden’s Skycap label.” https://soundcloud.com/themoonmusic/the-moon-electric-moon
