New Adventures in Sound Art is pleased to announce the 6th annual Deep Wireless, May 1-31, 2007. As part of a month-long celebration of radio and transmission art, radio artists, sound artists and enthusiasts can experience performances, sound installations, new commissions, special radio broadcasts, a CD launch and conference.

Transformation: Every spy must learn how to undergo an effective, convincing transformation through lies and deceit in order to accomplish a mission. Set in 1944 at Camp X, Canada's infamous wartime spy training ground, this 30 minute radio drama is a featured highlight of the opening show of the Deep Wireless festival.

The Ambient Ping presents Radio in Ambience once again. Listen to Toronto/Berlin sound artist Robert Hoare and the Halifax duo Stephen Kelly and Eleanor King as they coax the radio ether into an outer-worldly electro ambient chill.

The "It is to Laugh" radio comedy series creators Dan Bernard & Michael Townsend from Portland, Maine team up with Toronto actors/performers for a trans-comedy extravaganza. Also included in the evenings are the works commissioned for Outfront by Steve Wadhams, Robert Hoare, Sarah Boothroyd, and Thelon Oeming heard in multi-channel version.
