From Feature Story News: "Opposition is growing at home and abroad following revelations that the United States government engages in mass, suspicionless surveillance of personal cellphones and computers of millions of people around the world, including US citizens and the leaders of foreign nations. After documents leaked by Edward Snowden and published in major European newspapers this week showed the US National Security Agency was collecting information from both average citizens and heads of state overseas, German and French diplomats met at the United Nations General Assembly today in New York City, and began drafting a law to rein in the international surveillance. Privacy advocates in the US are also speaking out against the NSA's activities, and will hold a mass rally this weekend in DC to call for major reforms. On Capitol Hill, Alice Ollstein has more."
