In conjunction with the exhibition Transmittal WGXC 90.7-FM presented this special series. Radio Arts Space gives the public insight into the wide range of artistic approaches in the field of Radio and Sound Art. The selected works rely on the culture and experience of listening. The demand for listening is what distinguishes these works and stimulates us to rethink current exhibiting strategies and spaces where we do listen. A project of radioCona, Radio Arts Space premiered December 2011 at the ŠKUC Gallery in Ljubljana, on 88.8-FM Ljubljana, Slovenia, and online at radioCona.si. Invited curators were asked to put together a selection of works, either culling from the submissions to the radioCona open call and/or by choosing artists on their own. All together the project consists from 46 artworks, exhibited by 42 artists from 22 countries and more than 21 of listening hours. Radio Arts Space combines seven independent curatorial perspectives:
