Screening of remix documentary film "RIP: A Remix Manifesto" and performance from Eclectic Method, - London natives Jonny Wilson, Ian Edgar and Geoff Gamlen - who make audio-visual mash-ups featuring television, film, music and video game footage sliced and diced into blistering, post-modern dance- floor performances. Audio streamed live on WGXC Online Radio at www.wgxc.org.

What is it about Eclectic Method that inspired U2, Fatboy Slim and Public Enemy to employ their talents? That inspired Cannes and Sundance to have them headline their closing night parties? That impressed Motown and XL Records to hire them for official remixes; Sony PlayStation to have them develop video games levels, and MTV Europe to have them kick-start the MTV Mash series? Simply put, it’s because Eclectic Method is reshaping the platforms to bring us a different view of a party. Fans of the Colbert Report will recognize these guys’ work as they were featured on the Report by accepting Stephen’s dare to remix an interview. http://www.eclecticmethod.net/video/streaming-video/the-colbert-report-remix/ Maybe you were one of those 30 Roc fans who were spreading their video remix all over the interweb http://www.eclecticmethod.net/video/streaming-video/30-rock-remixed-2/ Or maybe you’ve seen their work helping Obama get …his new puppy… into the White House. http://www.eclecticmethod.net/news/having-puppies-on-cnn/ One way or another you’re likely to have seen Eclectic Methods remixes of pop culture somewhere. And now you have the chance to see E.M. bring it to the dance floor. E.M. mixes video and music seamlessly to fill the floor with sounds and the walls with video.

And to juice it up a bit, we will be working together with WGXC (the new Columbia-Greene Community Radio Station) to broadcast the mix on their now-active website. Live web stream on WGXC Online Radio at www.wgxc.org.
