Sonny Rollins responded to a strange "satire" in The New Yorker, with a live webstream Aug. 4, and this show will play it back. He talks about MAD Magazine, humor, and the history of jazz. The show will also tune in the music of the Germantown-based jazz legend. From Wikipedia: "Theodore Walter "Sonny" Rollins (born September 7, 1930) is an American jazz tenor saxophonist. Rollins is widely recognized as one of the most important and influential jazz musicians. A number of his compositions, including "St. Thomas", "Oleo", "Doxy", and "Airegin", have become jazz standards."
