The festival takes place from Friday, October 12, to Saturday, October 20, with events at Judson Church and New York Friends Meeting House. The festival features the NY premiere of John Cage's A Dip in the Lake, the premiere of Bruce Odland and Sam Auinger (O+A)'s A Requiem for Fossil Fuels, a presentation by world-roving ecologist and award-winning photographer Mark Moffett, encounters with Bernie Krause, Julia Calfee, Andrea Juan, David Monacchi, concerts by Madeleine Shapiro and Walter Branchi, and sound walks and a forum on urban sound organized by the New York Society for Acoustic Ecology.
