Michelle Nagai is a composer and performer based in Brooklyn, NY. She works with field recordings, voice, computer, found objects and gadgets, radio and nature to create music and performance in non-traditional venues, galleries, private homes and outdoors. She is a founding member of the American Society for Acoustic Ecology and a transmission artist with the experimental radio and sound art organization free103point9. Her work has been shown in the US and Canada and has been supported by the American Composers Forum, Harvestworks, The McKnight Foundation, Meet the Composer and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
