"Radio Wonderland" from Joshua Fried, comes at at 10:30 a.m. until 11 a.m., as Fried remixes New York City morning radio on Hudson Valley frequencies. This week it is Field Day nationwide, where amateur radio operators work as many stations as possible on any and all amateur bands (excluding the 60, 30, 17, and 12-meter bands) and to learn to operate in abnormal situations in less than optimal conditions. On the fourth weekend of June of each year, more than 35,000 radio amateurs gather with their clubs, groups or simply with friends to operate from remote locations. Field Day is a picnic, a campout, practice for emergencies, an informal contest and fun time for radio amateurs. We'll tune in the local locations in Cairo, Philmont, East Greenbush, Albany, and elsewhere. This morning at 11 a.m., the Aereo Supreme Court decision, and revolution, are considered.
