Hudson Valley Word of Mouth: Justine Post of Mansion + Reed General Store (Audio)
In the latest Hudson Valley Word of Mouth segment, Julia Joern visits the historic river town of Coxsackie to chat with Justine Post, who together with her twin sister, Lia, owns Mansion + Reed General Store.
Located right in the center of main street — and directly across from Reed Street Bottle Shop — their store opened in 2017 and was then renovated and revamped in 2021. It specializes in sourcing goods from New York state farms and local makers and offers everything from coffee, craft beer, bread, eggs, cheese, ice cream, pasture-raised meats, and plenty more.
Recently featured in a Times Union article, "The general store revival: Hudson Valley general stores, a 19th-century mainstay, are once again vibrant community and food hubs," Mansion + Reed General Store consequently has also become an important part of Coxsackie's own downtown revival.
