Radiophrenia Redux: Luke Fowler + Richard McMaster and Sean Burn (Audio)
‘Twilight of the Rock Gods’ by Luke Fowler and Richard McMaster. The source material originates from two found reel to reel collections; one is a collection of record label demos from 1974-1978, the other an archive of a university’s research into speech disorders which includes an interview with a man who worked in the music industry. Excerpts from these tapes are manipulated and radically reshaped by feeding the raw material through a series of vintage effects boxes relevant to the era in which the original recordings were made.
‘lone-crow make some hullabaloo’ by sean burn. This work blends and processes poetry with soundscape, loosely based around a recurring dream of an intense relationship with a trickster crow and memories of a childhood before adolescent psychiatric wards.
