Blending words and sounds, bringing to the airwaves live performances as well as field and studio recordings by writers the host has crossed paths with over the course of a quarter century. This month's program focuses on "It's a Stool Pigeon Universe," the newly released book and CD project produced by poet Steve Benson and improvisational music ensemble The Splatter Trio. Benson is author of "Blue Book," "Reverse Order," and other titles. The Splatter Trio played an integral role in the Bay Area improv music scene in the late 80s and early 90s.
