In this edition of FROM THE VAULT we salute Pacifica Radio KPFK's Drama & Literature Department with PART 2 of the 1949-1999 50th Year Anniversary show. By 1960 Pacifica radio station KPFA, in Berkeley, California, had become a unique visionary model and promise for cultural radio in America. It offered a wide range of programming in the arts, music, sciences, public affairs, and the humanities. The Drama and Literature Department was given generous broadcast time for world literature, current art movements and most important, the art of radio drama in all its variety.
