WSH East 2026

WSH East 2026.

Produced by many contributors.

Woodstockhausen is an intentionally intimate experimental festival for emerging and established artists, regional and international, showcasing diverse practices in experimental music, synesthetic video, and performance. It was founded in 2001 in the redwoods of Santa Cruz, CA, and now takes place annually in California, New York, and Mexico City. This year a very special iteration of Woodstockhausen East comes to MISE-EN_PLACE Harlem with beautifully mixed quad immersive sound. This event is all ages and family-friendly, focused on creative experience, dialogue, and being together in community. The venue, formerly in Bushwick Brooklyn, is now in one of Manhattan’s most vibrant neighborhoods surrounded by historic community and music culture.

WGXC is broadcasting the first 90 minutes of the 2026 festival. Here's the schedule for this afternoon

4:00 4Pol (Paul Geluso)

4:30 Erich Barganier

5:00 Wes Marcarelli

More on the space and history of WSH: MISE-EN_PLACE is an organization founded in 2014 dedicated to highlighting emerging and underrepresented composers, musicians, and sound artists, while also offering high-quality performances of both new and historical works.

Woodstockhausen was originally founded by Wayne Jackson (Later Days) deep in the misty redwoods of California’s Santa Cruz Mountains in 1998, taking place annually in backyards, then in a quarry amphitheater, with Woodstockhausen being formed in 2023 in the catskill mountains on a historic dairy farm in partnership with the The Turquoise Barn, Catalyst Culture Labs, and PAG Sound Services Inc.. We’re so excited to bring it to New York City for the first time.
