After the local news at noon, listeners will be led through a variety of newly released recordings, connecting odd sonic dots, from straight-ahead jazz and panoramic synth-psych to Avant-hip hop jazz hybrids, spoken-word sprechstimme, and Afro-beat bangers, among other sublime frequencies. There will be a whole bunch of guitars and trumpets, though not always together. Some accordions and lots of things are bowed and banged, honked, and squealed. This broadcast is dedicated to the memory of Sue Mingus.
