This special Dead Air 2 Resurrection pledge drive edition will be the topping on our day of live programming from Magpie Books in Catskill! 87-year-old Wally Hughes is an entertainer and rockabilly legend who recorded three hit songs in the 1950s. A resident of Ancram in Columbia County, he’ll play his harmonica and perform his infamous celebrity impressions in exchange for your tax-deductible contribution to WGXC. The show features local news, interviews with community leaders and personalities, a rundown of local and regional events, weather updates, and more about and for the community. Includes Jill and Kit's "Put a Sock in It" survey of early popular music recordings, plus Cory's "Geek Speak" entertainment news and the "Forgotten Decades" music series. Broadcast live from Magpie Bookshop, 392 Main St., Catskill. Hosted by Jill Sutton, Cory McCasland and Kit Towlson.
