The Radio Museum: 20250403 (Audio)
Each week "The Radio Museum" broadcasts a collection of different voices from radio's past. True raconteurs who knew how to tell intimate, personal, engaging stories on the radio. People like Jean Shepard and spoken word performers like Spaulding Gray as well as pioneers like Joe Frank and many others. Plus some music from the era as well as a weekly recipe. Hopefully you'll hear some familiar voices from the past or be introduced to some great storytellers and get a recipe at the end.
Gregory Forte "made his bones" as a public school teacher in East Harlem for years. He moved upstate to raise his family. Radio has always been a passion of his, ever since he would sit on his gradfather's knee and listen to the hand cranked Victrola as it played Carouso and other great Italian singers.
