Nothing Is Real Radio Hour: GA$ (Audio)
At the time of this broadcast the illegal US-Israel war on Iran has caused gas prices to go up $1.00 in three weeks, reminiscent of the gas crises in the 1970's. This brand new collage about gas by NIRRH host and creator Sam Sebren includes various sounds and music including 1970's news reports, gas industry sounds, US Intelligence V32 transmissions from February 2026, Iran Revolutionary Guard Corps recent transmissions, Haim Breheeth-Zabner, Bob Millian and the No Gas Band, Tiny Tim, Kraftwerk, Treblaphone, J.Lee, Holy F**k, Dollar Tree, Harry Pussy, Growthrings, Stick Sellers, PiL, Queen, and more.
"The Nothing Is Real Radio Hour" includes sound and transmission art works by Sam Sebren, who is based in Athens, NY, and occasionally works by other artists, both pre-recorded and performed live in the studio. In a multidisciplinary practice, much of Sebren's recent work has challenged notions of accepted reality in art, advertising, and public spaces. In mediums including sound, Sebren's work blurs actual, imagined, and technological realities as he critiques socio-political rules & regulations in our consumer "culture" and urges his audience to smile and re-think our priorities.
