Music from around the world is featured. Bringing the audience into the realm of other cultures through music, hopefully expanding empathy for the “other,” and recognizing that “other” in ourselves. We have a wonderful and diverse mix of music from Zimbabwe today, by no means attempting to be definitive but certainly giving a little taste of the breadth and richness of that cultural, from the traditional and ritual music of the Shona people to the political music of the Lion of Zimbabwe, Thomas Mapfumo.
