In this broadcast, a conversation with Canadian pianist, composer, and educator Amanda Tosoff. Her new release, Earth Voices on Empress Music Group, features a wealth of Canadian talent as well as the poetry of Pablo Neruda, Edgar Allan Poe, Walt Whitman and others. Tosoff has received various honors, including the Montréal Jazz Festival Grand Prix de Jazz, and the Toronto Arts Foundation Emerging Jazz Artist Award and a Juno nomination and mention on the Polaris Prize Longer List, for her album Words.
