From April 21 to May 19, 2025, Martín Rodríguez will perform “For Autumn” by composer Raven Chacon. Chacon wrote this score for his sister, Autumn Chacon, and it is included in his book of 13 graphic scores, “For Zitkála-Šá.” The collection pays tribute to Zitkála-Šá (1876-1938), a Dakota woman from Yankton who wrote the libretto and songs for the Sun Dance Opera (1910-1913), widely regarded as the first Indigenous opera. To honor her legacy, Chacon has dedicated each score to a contemporary Indigenous or Mestiza female artist who uses sound in their practice.

Rodríguez pays homage to Autumn through this extended performance expanding the location and duration of the performance between Montréal, Québec City, and Saskatoon. The performance is presented in collaboration with Québec City artist-run center Le Lieu, as part of Rodríguez's exhibition “Radio Vestige.”
