Ginger Radio Hour: William Kennedy (Audio)
May 03, 2026
Albany writer William Kennedy is not slowing down at 98. In fact, he's working hard on his latest novel. This week, Library of America published three of his novels in a new collection called The Albany Trilogy. One of those, Ironweed, originally published in 1983, won him a Pulitzer Prize. I spent an evening with him in Albany on the town — talking about oysters, wine, people, and landmarks of his hometown.
Host Justin Maiman from Cairo shares his latest inspirations on the "Ginger Radio Hour." Live from WGXC's Acra studio, the show features music, field recordings, performances, and interviews, primarily with people in and around the Catskill Mountains of New York.
