Guest DJ Sam Sebren will spin vinyl in honor of dear friend "DJ Alex" (Alexandra "Lexi" Varga) who recently passed away (1959 - 2016).

DJ ALex had an extensive collection of vinyl from her days in the early 80's downtown NYC club scene when she DJ'd at Club Berlin and worked at Free Being records. She shared her collection and love for music with Sebren (they often traded cassettes) and with WGXC listeners on two co-hosted, guest DJ spots. She was a Catskill native who attended NYU and also made intricate beaded jewelry which reflected her deep interest and knowledge of Egyptology. Crank it up and dance to some rare '80's club sounds in memory of DJ Alex!
