D.U.M.B.O Autonmousmediazone will broadcast everyday (and night!) of the D.U.M.B.O Art Festival with the help of free103point9 and the August Sound Coalition with a studio at 39 Main St. webcasting music, commissioned sound-art, festival happenings, and live surprises. Tune in all weekend in Dumbo on free103point9 Online Radio. August Sound Coalition Performers include Ben Owen, Ian Epps, Mountains: collaboration between Aero and Anderegg, Koutaro Fukui, Doomfishe Players, and others. Curated by Greta Byrum, Tianna Kennedy, Daniel Raffel, Tarikh Korula, and Alexis Bhagat. Sound installations/studio visits and interviews with Greta Byrum, Larry Shea, Damian Catera, Kabir Carter, Jodi Rose, Raul Vincent Enriques, Great Small Works, Black Label Bike Club, Rise-up Radio, and others. D.U.M.B.O. Art Under the Bridge festival's autonomousmediazone, a project of the August Sound Coaltion and free103point9, will throughout the festival weekend. August Sound Coalition is a group of independent sound/transmission artists, journalists, and musicians who initially converged to create A-Noise, an experiment in autonomous media coincident with the Republican National Convention and protests in New York City. August Sound Coalition survives as a collective based in New York, and will continue bringing our unique broadcasts to the public. Over the course of the next year we will work towards the development of new independent community radio stations for Brookyln and lower Manhattan. Members of the August Sound Coalition bring with them wisdom, energy, and resources, �of several organizations, including the NYC-Indymedia Center, the Center for Social Technology, �free103point9 , Riseup Radio, Autonomedia, The Tank, Kill Radio (LA), Prometheus Radio Project (Philadelphia) and Enemy Combatant Radio (Oakland), among others.
