Donald Drumpf Theatre Volume 164 The Fever (Audio)

Mar 05, 2020
Produced by Tom Roe.
Donald Drumpf Theatre Vol. 164 The Fever. This week our hero's temperature is rising.

Thanks this week for the songs from The Puppet Regime ("Modi & Trump in Bollywood"), Mudhoney ("Touch Me, I'm Sick"), Peggy Lee ("The Fever"), Louis Armstrong ("Nobody Knows The Trouble I've Seen"), and The Magnetic Fields ("The Day the Politicians Died"), and Golden Earring ("Twilight Zone"). Clips and excerpts from Rod Serling; Rudy Giuliani; Richard Nixon; Seth Meyers; Trevor Noah; Jimmy Kimmel; Beck Bennett, Kenan Thompson, and Colin Jost from "Saturday Night Live;" Sean Hannity; Rush Limbaugh; John Oliver; Larry Kudlow; "The Late Show;" Donald Trump, Jr.; and John Mulaney. An original radio theatre show each week, with most sounds culled from the previous week, about a fictional, theatrical presidency. Contradictions tell the story, with songs, skits, and clips from political news shows and late-night comedy routines. The definition of "radio theatre" is stretched here, with an updated Dickie Goodman and/or Richard Foreman-meets-mashup style sometimes, and a more straightforward take other weeks. Currently airing on 30 or 40 stations around the world, the network has ordered another 11 months of episodes. Anyone who would like to work on a production, or have their work air in this timeslot, should contact info@wgxc.org.
