In the first hour, following the local news, artists, educators, and students from CU Boulder, UC Santa Cruz, and SUNY Buffalo come together to create a monthly live radio series, The Conduction Series, airing on Wave Farm’s WGXC 90.7-FM Radio for Open Ears in New York’s Upper Hudson Valley. The premiere broadcast, Name your disaster!, coincides with As if radio: a long-form radio show during COP26, for which each transmitting node will work with an environmental calamity common to their region and its accompanying elemental characteristics (fire, drought, water, earth, ice). Participants include: Travis Austin, Nima Bahrehmand, Betsey Biggs, August Black, Martin Freeman, Anna Friz, Jason Geistweidt, Max Goldfarb, Kyle Gonzalez, Paulus van Horne, Ryan Page, Tom Roe, Teri Rueb, Jason Sanford, Laurids Andersen Sonne, and Biyi Wen. At 5 p.m. EDT, following the performance, members will join As if radio organizer Grant Smith for a conversation about the performance, The Conduction Series, and the Mezcal platform.

In this second hour, a conversation with Jennifer DuBois, one of the organizers of the Better Together Festival, an event designed to showcase local businesses and highlight the construction of a new pavilion for larger-scale outdoor events at Shinglekill Falls in Purling on Sun., Nov. 14.

The show features local news, interviews with community leaders and personalities, a rundown of local and regional events, weather updates, and more about and for the community. The show is a place for a community conversation about issues, with music, and more. Saturday the emphasis is more on radio art, and art on the radio. Unlike shows by individual programmers on the station, the "WGXC Afternoon Show" is considered partially station-run. The Wednesday show calls itself the "Drive-Time Show" and Sunday's is "Li Le, Le Tan."
