OPEN CALL RESIDENCY 2010 / 2011
WHO: Artists working in any media with a strong experimental practice.
WHAT: Two residencies - 1 - 2 weeks per residency
WHERE: APO33, Nantes, FRANCE
WHEN: between October 2010 and July 2011.
RESIDENCY: APO33 invites artists throughout the year to develop work in situ, that take risks with the space and the artists own approach to his/her practice. The residency will usually allow 1 week for development and installation of projects and during the second week the space will also be open to the public. APO33 will provide technical assistance to artists and expert assistance to those using digital media open to exploring FLOSS software and programming tools. In addition artists are invited to give a public talk around their practice at APO33.
APO33 will pay travel costs and provide accommodation as well as a small production budget to be discussed with the Artist.
APO33 a not-for-profit association/artists collective founded in 1997. APO33 research practices cross philosophy, poetry, visual, sonic art and anything else that may arrive through collaborative working. APO33 projects often use networked and physical spaces, develop tools (hardware/software) for its creative projects and the FLOSS (Free/Libre Open Source Software) community of artists and programmers.
