International Drone Day is an annual celebration of drone, community, and experimental sounds. The day commemorates all things musical and sonic drone and was started in Montreal by Marie LeBlanc Flanagan in 2016. Drone Day has grown into an international celebration of sonic drone, deep listening, and community!

Each year the Hudson Valley hosts a Drone Day celebration on the grounds of SoundWell barn in Marlboro, New York, welcoming over 150 musicians and sound artists from across North America. 

The 2026 edition of Drone Day occurred on May 30. Katie Down and Craig Chin made recordings of the day's performances and we're brodacasting them here on WGXC.
