DeForrest Brown, Jr. (Speaker Music) will create a romantic abstraction of sonic narratives, Muyassar Kurdi and MV Carbon will screen their 16mm trilogies, and SHYBOI will close out New Ear Festival 2020. The annual New Ear Festival fulfills one of Fridman Gallery's core missions—to help restore creative, experimental spirit on the ground floor level of downtown Manhattan. The festival showcases time-based, not overtly commercial performance art in all its forms—from sound installations and video screenings to storytelling and physical movement.
