Heather Bruegl ("BREE-gull") is the Director of Cultural Affairs for the Stockbridge Munsee Community. She recently spoke with WOOC's Melissa Bromley about bringing an indigenous perspective to the upcoming Sustainable Futures Conference. And each year more than one billion dollars is stolen from the paychecks of low-income workers in New York. A coalition of workers and community groups worked for years to pass the SWEAT bill to address the problem, only to have Cuomo two years ago veto the bill on New Year's Day. WOOC's Mark Dunlea talks with restuarant worker and NMASS member Carlos Herrera about a recent protest outside the Governor's office in Manhattan.
