The broadcast will focus on music heard at Big Ears 2019, the music festival held last month in Knoxville, TN, featuring more than 150 acts from a diverse musical spectrum, jazz and rock, classical and noise. Tune in to hear a variety of artists, including Nicole Mitchell’s Artifacts Trio, Thumbscrew, Meredith Monk, Brooklyn Rider, Bela Fleck, Tim Berne, Vijay Iyer, Craig Taborn, David Torn and many more. "Overlooked" is a show focusing on overlooked and under-heard jazz, improvisational music and other fringe music, from early roots to contemporary experiments...a real mix of familiar to rare, classic to weird.
