Donald Drumpf Theatre: Vol. 125 Cover Me (Audio)
Jun 06, 2019
Vol. 125 Cover Me. This week our hero gets a little help from his friends.
Songs, skits, and segments from "The Late Show" ("Cartoon Robert Mueller Finally Breaks His Silence"), "Rambo First Blood 2," the "Oliver" soundtrack ("I'd Do Anything"), Bruce Springsteen ("Cover Me"), U.S. Navy Band ("Anchors Aweigh"), George M. Cohan ("Over There"), and Golden Earring ("Twilight Zone"). Clips and excerpts from Sarah Sanders; Rudy Giuliani; Rod Serling; Nancy Pelosi; Jake Tapper; Stephen Colbert; Robert Mueller; Jimmy Kimmel; Valery Legasov from "Chernobyl;" Jan Crawford; Chris Hayes; John King; Jared Kushner; Jonathan Swan; Erin Burnett; Nicolle Wallace; Piers Morgan; Stuart Varney; Trevor Noah; . An original radio theatre show each week, with most sounds culled from the previous week, about a fictional, theatrical presidency. Contradictions tell the story, with songs, skits, and clips from political news shows and late-night comedy routines. The definition of "radio theatre" is stretched here, with an updated Dickie Goodman and/or Richard Foreman-meets-mashup style sometimes, and a more straightforward take other weeks. Currently airing on 30 or 40 stations around the world, the network has ordered another 15 episodes, but there are threats of cancellation. Anyone who would like to work on a production, or have their work air in this timeslot, should contact info@wgxc.org.
