Today we are presenting the last show of the series Paises, Countries. After 20 countries and one territory we will be presenting Argentina.

Argentina with 23 provinces and the federal district, has more styles and rhythms than their geographical configuration. The country has as many as 45 different musical identities. This diverse cultural heritage reflects the ever changing and beautiful geographical style of Argentina.

Of the more than 45 styles, today we are playing 21, and they are: Baguala, Bailecito, Candombe, Chacarera, Carnavalito, Firmeza, Gato, Kaluyo, Malambo, Pericón, Polka, Refalosa, Rock Nacional, Sombrerito, Valsecito Criollo, Vidalita, Tonada, Zamba, Tango and Milonga, and in that order.

“Nuestra Música,” “Our Music,” presents the rhythms and folklore of Latin America, Spain, Portugal and Cape Verde. From Tango to Flamenco and all Latinx music in between. The show explores the native instruments, languages and traditions played in 22 countries and one territory. Other than Spanish and Portuguese, Nuestra Música presents songs in Quechua, Mapuche, Guaraní, Nahuatl, Gallego, Spanish Basque, and Catalán. Among many styles we present: Tango, Chacarera, Baguala, Zamba with a Z and Samba with and S, Bossa Nova, Cumbia, Llanero, Vallenato, Merengue, Parrandera, Son, Bolero, Ranchera, Corrido, Marimba, Fado, Flamenco, Sevillanas, Jota, Blues, Jazz, Danzon, Mambo and many more.
