Errant Space: Episode 23 - Newburgh Open Movement with Dean Sharp (Audio)
This month’s podcast was recorded at a Newburgh Open Movement performance on New Years Eve 2016 and features the always inspiring Dean Sharp. This is Dean’s third appearance on the podcast (clearly I like playing with the guy!), each time has been in a different context.
And this podcast is also a little different, as the music was meant to provide an atmosphere in which people could move and dance, and our performance was a sort of collaboration with the movers and dancers.
The Errant Space Podcast has been produced monthly since 2015. Its focus is improvised ambient and experimental sounds. It often features interesting collaborations with innovative musicians, as well as studio creations and live performances by Errant Space.
Errant Space is a project of composer/sound artist Craig Chin. Its goal is spatio-temporal dilation through sound. Performances are site-specific, spontaneous compositions influenced by both the physical characteristics of the space they are performed in and the occupants of that space.
