Nuestra Música: Paises VII Panama and Colombia (Audio)

We are presenting the part VII of the series Paises, Countries, where we present 2 countries in segments of 30 minutes each. Today we have Colombia and Panamá. We start with Panama the land of rhythms such as Puntos, Mejorana, Socavón, Pasillo, Pindín, Tamborito and Saloma and we will be showing one song from one of these rhythms. And From Colombia the land of a thousand rhythms we will be presenting styles and genres like Cumbia, Vallenato, Porro, Fandango, Mapalé, Son Palenquero, Tamborito, Currulao, Danza Chocoana and Decimas. “Nuestra Música,” “Our Music,” presents the rhythms and folklore of Latin America, Spain, Portugal and Cape Verde. From Tango to Flamenco and all Latinx music in between. The show explores the native instruments, languages and traditions played in 22 countries and one territory.
